Vans is proud to present Mockba Life, a trip following Vans Europe as they visit their northern teammates from the Vans Russia skate team to skate the plazas and spots around the city of Moscow. Featuring Chris Pfanner, Kalle Wiehn, Joseph Bias, Axel Cruysberghs, Victor Pellegrin, Albert Nyberg, Dan Lutheran, Pepe Tirelli, Yeelen Moens, Val Baeur, Thanos Panou, Josh Young and from Vans Russia; Roma Ivanov, Alexey Krasniy and Eugene Nikolaev.

During the trip we had the chance to experience the true Russian lifestyle and mostly because we got to meet Stas; A.K.A. The Boss. Moscow’s a very unique place and thanks to the Olympics in Sochi in 2014, they’ve renovated the city center, leading to a load of new skates spots.

The film was shot by Max Pack and Romain Batard and edited by Paul Labadie. It captures the skating and everything in between during the 14 days we spent in Russia adventuring their exotic marble plazas and of course, their vodka.

Weatherized benefits rolled into sleeker street-style silhouettes marks the first-ever Drill Chore Coat MTE, accompanying the Sk8-Hi MTE 2.0 DX as the ultimate cold-weather capsule

This winter, the Drill Chore Coat proves once again that keeping warm and dry all season long and looking damn good doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive.

This holiday, for the first time ever, the workwear staple is receiving an upgraded, weatherized MTE treatment. The Drill Chore Coat MTE is now available in a 100% durable nylon 2L oxford shell with DWR coating and sustainable, thermoregulating DuPont Sorona fill. An innovative material that combines superior insulation, breathability and water resistance, DuPont Sorona fill was designed to keep you cool and dry when you’re active – and conversely, maintain warmth and cozy vibes in cold climates.

The coat is complete with a moisture-wicking liner, fully functional zip-off hood, extended corduroy collar, reflective labels on the front and back and a metal snap-closure storm flap for keeping wind out and body heat in. The innovative design and functionality was created with professional skateboarders in mind, and as Vans continues to build on the popularity of this versatile coat, it was only natural to introduce the latest update – solidifying the Drill Chore Coat as a staple in cold-weather capsules everywhere.

Rounding out the Holiday MTE offering is the SK8-Hi MTE 2.0 DX – an update to the weatherized version of this classic silhouette. For both men’s and women’s styles, the already-impressive weatherproof upper is now engineered with easy-on and-off tongue and heel pulls, and a rubber toecap for added durability.

Vans’ MTE 360 heat retaining technology keeps feet warm and dry, and sees the addition of the UltraCush® molded drop-in sock liner and added Achilles cushioning. The shoe is finished off with a rugged boot lug MTE sole for ultimate traction – the result of 20 years of experience in the snow boot game.

The Drill Chore Coat MTE and the Sk8-Hi MTE 2.0 DX are now available at Vans retailers.

A Portion of the Proceeds from the Breast Cancer Collection Will Benefit CoppaFeel!

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Vans is proud to release a collection designed to not only educate youth on checking their breasts and early detection but to showcase the beauty and strength of those impacted or touched by breast cancer. Available starting October 1, 2019, at least $200,000 USD of the proceeds from the Vans Breast Cancer Awareness collection will benefit CoppaFeel! – a UK-based breast cancer awareness charity that promotes early detection and encourages young people to better know their bodies.

“For our charity, this collaboration with Vans is a dream come true,'' says Kris Hallenga, founder of CoppaFeel!. “We are thrilled for the opportunity to spread our message across Vans’ audience, as this partnership will allow us to tell more people why checking their boobs is so important, and in return, save lives. CoppaFeel! exists to stamp out the late detection of breast cancer by educating everyone - girls, boys and non-binary pals about their boobs and encourage them to get anything abnormal checked out.”

Created by a group of Vans designers, all graphics and illustrations used in the collection were designed in-house to promote inclusion, representation and empowerment. “The illustration style uses simple shapes and minimal linework to highlight the bold use of color and the unity of interlocking figures. Breast Cancer is a disease that affects everyone regardless of their race or status, and we wanted the women in the illustrations to reflect this reality,” says Diandre Fuentes, Vans Footwear designer. “By partnering with CoppaFeel!, we can not only showcase the beauty of the women who have breast cancer but provide education to break the taboos of early cancer detection and encourage consumers to check themselves and advocate for their health needs.”

The footwear, apparel and accessories feature four main designs all centered around breasts. Hand drawn ladies of all shapes and colors showcase the mass reach of breast cancer uniting them through the power of self-checking. A positive affirmation of “You’ve Got This” is grounded by a subtle breast inclusion while a literal blueprint showcases ways to perform self-examinations. Finally, designers took Vans’ iconic Checkerboard pattern updating it with nudes of all colors to celebrate the strength of everyone who has been diagnosed or is impacted by breast cancer.

The Vans Breast Cancer Awareness collection is available for men, women and children, because breast cancer impacts everyone. Join Vans and CoppaFeel! this October as we raise awareness, provide education and empower our consumers to know their bodies. Visit to learn more about CoppaFeel!
