The latest installment from the long-time Vans x Metallica partnership marks the third collaboration between the storied brand and band.

This spring, Vans partners with global BMX team rider Dakota Roche to deliver a new colorway of the Style 112 Pro. Part of Vans’ For The Search collection, the custom Style 112 Pro integrates classic design and modern technology to support the needs of BMX’s most dynamic street rider, Dakota Roche.

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, releases a new holiday offering of the MTE collection, the brand’s enduring weather-resistant apparel and footwear line for men and women, designed to withstand the elements.

The weatherized Vans line introduces a fresh color palette of earth tones this season, paired with new outerwear pieces that utilize Vans’ innovation tactics and technology upgrades. Designed to keep you warm and dry all winter, the men’s and women’s MTE jackets are coated with durable 1K water repellant coating, and provide improved insulation while retaining functionality and comfort.

New this season, Vans debuts the Authentic Chino MTE, a classic pant with durable water repellent and brushed flannel lining for warmth. Additionally, Vans offers new iterations of the Woodcrest MTE, a packable puffer jacket, and the Westmark MTE, a classic parka, in black and camouflage versions. For the women’s line, Vans updates the Thanks Coach jacket in a pale pink tone, now equipped with a warm quilted body and 1K DWR coating. 

Complementing the apparel assortment for a head to toe look, Vans’ MTE Classics footwear returns, featuring new renditions of the Sk8-Hi MTE for both men and women. All styles feature premium weather resistant leather and suede uppers, warm linings and a heat retention layer between the sockliner and outsole to keep feet warm and dry. Taking advantage of over 20 years of snow boot history, a constructed lug outsole provides improved traction, infusing style and function into footwear that welcomes the cold season.

For Holiday 17’, Vans partners with British surf brand Finisterre on a collection truly born from the needs of hardy surfers, and fit for any adventure. Bringing their innovative approach and fabric knowledge to some of Vans’ most iconic winter-ready silhouettes, as well as the all-new UlltraRange Hi, the result is a celebration of the adventurous surfer, and both brands’ commitment to a global community of ocean lovers.

Arriving in select Vans retailers across Europe and Finisterre’s stores from Wednesday 25th, this new collaboration is made for going the distance and enduring the elements in pursuit of uncrowded and undiscovered waves.

The collection takes two Vans Classics, the Authentic and Chukka, as well as the addition of a debuting silhouette; the UltraRange Hi. A European Snow Team Adventure

The #VANSFIRSTLAYER project returns with another epic adventure, this year the spotlight would fall on Russia. Highlighting the very best talent from the Vans EMEA snow team, we see them embark on a journey to explore the unknown of Russia. The country offered an amazing opportunity to traverse and discover new terrains, new cultures and most importantly new environments. With that in mind Vans enlisted their best street riders to experience the cold and endless urban jungle of Russia. Riders, Benny Urban, Will Smith, Antti Jussila, Sami Luhtanen, Nikita Sekh, Cees Wille and Kevin Trammer started their exploration in Moscow, before heading east to Novosibirsk, Siberia for part two of the trip.

“Our trip to Novosibirsk was definitely one of a kind ! I think there is almost no location in the world where Street Snowboarding is as special as this far east in Siberia,” says Benny Urban, Vans Snow Team.

“ Moscow was classic, we arrived at a fairly sizeable waterfall rail when a local lady persistantly stood in our way. She wouldn’t let us ride, even security and police accepted it was ok to shred it! So here we are, local pedestrians, police and security all keen for me to ride and just one lady standing in the way. She didn’t budge, night falls, we left…but luckily we got the shot first thing and that saved the day,” says Sparrow Knox, Vans Snow Team.

“ Street riding is really intriguing to most of us. How come you spend time in the city when you could be in the montain reconnecting with the elements? Well, what if you grew up in Helsinki, Quebec or Moscow? What if snowboarding in the street is just as natural for you as playing in your backyard? With huge cities and tons of snow, Russia is a promising playground for those who reinterpret the urban environment. When you spend twelve hours a day in the street, you get to experiment with Russian vibes, even if it’s hard to understand what’s really going on over there. I have to say many moments I thought, WTF are we doing here! Pulling dead dogs out of the run or signing papers in a russian police station ... and not to mention that I wasn’t the one bailing in the landing after multiple attempts. It’s crazy to observe a team effort and the guys willingness to get something as trivial as a video clip. Russia was challenging, definitely not as smooth as a ‘walk in the park’ but a unique experience and one where memories have been made,” says Bruno Rivoire, Vans Snow Team Manager.
To accompany the launch of the short film, Matt Georges has produced a limited edition newspaper version which will be available in select Vans stores across Europe.

Vans, “Off The Wall” Since ’6

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, continues its long-standing relationship with Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang in its latest collection of footwear, apparel and accessories this October. Using original illustrations by Charles M. Schulz, the collection pays homage to the iconic characters and artwork from the original Peanuts holiday television specials.

Charles M. Schulz illustrations take new shape across the Sk8-Hi Reissue and Old Skool styles using the entire silhouette as a canvas. Original designs of Charlie Brown and Snoopy take over the monochromatic silhouettes and are outfitted with leather Sidestripes. Kicking it back to the comic strip days is an Authentic that has been decorated with holiday themed comic strip scenes. Peanuts fans can get their dancing shoes on in an Authentic or Old Skool model that depicts the whole Peanuts Gang during the memorable dance party scene from the animated television special, ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Half Cab, Vans designers have included Snoopy and his family members across the canvas panels of the Half Cab. Peek closely and you may see Snoopy’s brother, Spike, on the Half Cab’s tongue label with a Checkerboard printed hat and Schulz signature embossed into the suede toe box. Vans’ very own Checkerboard Slip-On has been reimagined this season to include the many playful expressions of Snoopy that can be found within print. The Sk8-Hi Reissue gets a premium upgrade with leather materialization and has been embossed on the quarter-panels to include the subtle presence of Snoopy and a hidden Woodstock can be seen on the tongue label. A very special Classic Slip-On was created to celebrate the everlasting friendship between Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock and features plush patches on the vamp of each Slip-On and is finished with ‘Best Friends’ embossed into the front toe bumper of each shoe.

Signature Vans x Peanuts apparel and accessories will be available in a range of prints that match the footwear assortment, including the monochromatic Charlie Brown and Snoopy illustrations and Snoopy’s family for men. Women will have a playfully pink collection of the Peanuts dance party apparel and a tonal collection dedicated to Snoopy. Even the littlest Vans and Peanuts fans will receive their very own assortment of footwear that will be available in kids and toddler sizing including the comic strip and dance party Authentic. Just in time for Halloween, the Sk8-Hi Zip includes glow-in-the-dark Snoopy and Woodstock dressed up as mummies while the Old Skool V features easy hook-and-loop straps and uses the Snoopy Checkerboard print. Tiny tykes get their very own Classic Slip-On that features Snoopy with a plush tail detail at the heel.

With winter just around the corner, Vans partners with global snow team rider Darrell Mathes and co-founder of HOWL, for an exclusive HOWL collaboration celebrating Vans snow boots and apparel. Available now, The new Vans and HOWL capsule features elevated renditions of the Hi-Standard snowboard boot and Jonesport MTE jacket. Each piece blends HOWL’s sophisticated aesthetic with Vans’ functional snow boot and all-weather MTE technology.

HOWL co-founder Darrell Mathes states, “This project was really fun for HOWL since both brands support many of the same athletes, resulting in a product capsule that truly reflects who we are as snowboarders.”
