Costa Mesa, CALIF. – With 25 years under his belt on the Vans Snow team, Jamie Lynn has remained one of the most legendary riders in the game. Celebrating his status, and the level of progression both he and the brand have achieved, Vans is proud to announce a limited, 250-pair global release of his new snowboard boot, the Jamie Lynn LTD.
The drop marks the first in an annual ongoing Vans LTD Snow Program, focused on the people, places and ethos that make snowboarding what it is. In this spirit, Vans will release a limited run of new, carefully-crafted product once a year, available exclusively at core snowboard retailers worldwide.

In the beginning of October we catched up with our Portuguese friend and rider Hugo Cardoso and recorded him during one entire day at his hometown: Ericeira.  A day with Hugo usually consists on a good breaky followed with an early surf till the wind pops up and surfskate till the sun sets. The idea is pretty simple: to be able to surf all day no matter what.

Costa Mesa, CALIF. (October 16, 2019) – There’s no doubt that longtime Vans global team rider Anthony Van Engelen’s storied career and vast impact on skateboarding’s history precedes him. This year, for holiday 2019, Vans proudly introduces an updated AVE capsule with new apparel and a unique AVE Pro colorway, building on the initial debut this fall.

For AVE, good enough doesn’t cut it; he’s barely satisfied with great. Over his 20-year professional career (14 of which he’s spent on Vans), the Southern California native co-founded influential skateboard brand Fucking Awesome, dropped countless influential video parts and earned Thrasher mag’s 2015 “Skater of the Year.” AVE’s latest Vans pro colorway, a “rainy day” forest night and black, packs the same durability, function and comfort. The AVE Pro boasts UltimateWaffle construction – heel-to-toe Ultracush comfort and cushioning, and a midfoot shank to keep flex in the forefoot – contained in translucent Vans waffle rubber. The head-to-toe apparel collection delivers several new pieces for the holiday season, including a fleece crewneck, as well as tees, long sleeve shirts and a hat in a monochrome palette. Rounding out the collection is the Drill Chore Coat and V96 Standard / AVE denim in vintage rinse wash. RapidWeld no-sew technology utilizes heat-fused upper panels for an extremely strong bond that’s both hard-wearing and flexible all at once, while remaining lighter than conventional stitching. Duracap™ reinforced underlays in high abrasion areas ensure the shoe can withstand the toughest abuse.

The AVE Pro also boasts LuxLiner™ technology, integrating the tongue and internal lining for a more snug, consistent fit. A molded heel counter provides additional structure and heel lock, while a full-length Ultracush midsole acts as built-in impact cushioning. AVE’s never-quit mentality and uncompromising work ethic carries over into his latest shoe and apparel collection with Vans. If he’s given it his stamp of approval, we know you’re going to think it’s pretty fucking great, too. The AVE Holiday Collection is now available at authorized Vans retailers.

By tapping into high-performance technology developed for the needs of its renowned surf team, Vans is proud to release its latest take on a surf essential. This fall, Vans Pro Skate reintroduces a new colorway installment to Elijah Berle’s first signature shoe, the Berle Pro. Utilizing  WaffleControl outsole technology, Vans’ breakthrough parametric cupsole, the Berle Pro provides state-of-the-art board control and responsiveness. The dark, crocodile-pattern colorway harkens back to another groundbreaking skate innovation from Vans: the world’s first-ever signature skate shoe, the Caballero.

Note: No Animals Were Harmed During the Creation of This Collection

Vans has joined forces with the iconic Baker Skateboards to create an apparel and footwear collection that celebrates both brands’ storied history and identities in skateboarding.

Napapijri’s Fall/Winter ’19 collection celebrates the brand’s original jacket, The Skidoo, by revisiting it through the lenses of design, innovation, and sustainability. These elements come together in Skidoo Monte Bianco, a ski-jacket that combines Skidoo’s classic shape with Napapijri’s innovative spirit thanks to its high-tech features and details. Finally, Skidoo Creator channels The Tribe’s  independent, creative spirit by exaggerating the Skidoo’s traditional silhouette and turning it into a down-free streetwear must-have.

The all-new silhouette boasts the iconic Sidestripe that Vans has become recognized for, in addition to many new design updates. A breathable, linerless upper has been specially engineered to reduce bulk and improve support, while a flexible heel counter increases stability. The Mod RapidWeld also ushers in the Ultimate Waffle technology - a full-rubber cupsole crafted with variable thickness to deliver flex, traction and durability.

Beyond providing elevated comfort and improved fit, the UltraCush midsoles are also constructed using a reduced amount of glue – an attribute highlighted through the shoes transparent tinted rubber. The end result is an extremely lightweight and flexible outsole.

Throughout history, with each new era that defines skating, surfing, snowboarding and the surrounding culture, Vans has taken stock of where it’s been while focusing on what’s yet to come. The result has pushed both the brand and the entire footwear market forward. The Mod Rapidweld is the latest milestone to do just that, placing a premium on comfort and style, and ready to go anywhere you are.

The Mod RapidWeld is now in stores and in the hero colorway of quiet shade and true white, as well as all-black and racing red with true white.
